I am having difficulty with syncing my Google and Thunderbird calendars. Thunderbird V141.0

My requirements are quite simple: I want to create new events in the Home calendar and have them synchronize with my Google calendars. I do not need to do it the other way, I just want to be able to see the Thunderbird events on my Google devices.

I have installed the 'Provider for Google Calendar' add-on and then successfully subscribed to my Google calendars. However, when I add a new event to the Home calendar, it doesn't appear in the Google calendar.

I am clearly doing something wrong, so I wonder if someone can help.

How can I get back the ability / setting I always had to see the right side 'mini-view' of my monthly calendar? I used to be able to see each day on the right side of my calendar - now it's not showing??? I'm sure it's a simple display setting or option - but I can't find it - please help...

Google calendar provider has stopped working and I can’t import my calendar into Thunderbird. I fill out the Google account email and password, but I got a message saying that it can’t reach the server.
