error 403

I have been logging in to my university web site sub.su.se since last september through firefox. Since the day before yesterday, I have been getting this message "You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied" and "HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden". I saw the relevant answers and erasing the cookies did allow me to load the page. However, this doesn't solve my problem, as through this website I get access to several databases, all of which I have to access through this university site with my security credentials there and it is not practical to keep erasing cookies every time I want to reload the page. I can load it normally, as many times as I want without any cookie-erasing through any other browser. Since I 'd like to keep using firefox, I'd appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks!

This page works for me: http://www.sub.su.se/

First of all, I apologize for the late reply, as the email was for some reason in my spam folder.

Second, while I was able to load the page today (I try each morning) through firefox and I was also able to load it again from your link, when I opened a new tab and I got the "suggestion" in the address bar and just hit "enter", I saw that the browser was trying to load the link "https://www.sub.su.se/" -instead of "http://www.sub.su.se/" or just " www.sub.su.se/"and gave me the same message. The interesting thing that I just discovered is that if I just key in the address myself (including the "/" character) or if I key in "sub.su.se" plus "space", thus deleting the "/", the page loads correctly! What I find weird is that I (think that I)'m "ordering" firefox to load up the exact same page (i.e. sub.su.se/) when I just key in the "su" part and just click enter to the suggestion; instead, the browser "automatically" tries to go to the "https://" site and gives me the 403 error.

Thank you, as the detail made me be able to log in properly through mozilla again! If possible, I'd like to know what's going wrong in the aforementioned process, so I can prevent +/ solve similar problems in the future - even being able to load the page by following the firefox suggestion and just hit "su-enter-" that would be helpful!

Thanks again,

Sotiris
