I'm using Mac os 10.5.8 and Firefox 11.0. Whenever I go to latimes.com, Firefox hangs and won't load, forcing me to force quit (which itself is sluggish; I have to force quit several times). This problem started when I upgraded to Firefox 11.0. I get no error message.

Hi,

Please try this: History (Alt + S) > Show All History, search for latimes .com on the top right box, right-click a result and Forget About this site.

If the problem persists, please also check if this happens in a new profile. If the new profile is okay, you can later copy the needed personal data from the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in another location (profile folder) separate from its files/folder. A new profile would have the default Firefox settings (Tools (Alt + T) > Options, and about:config ), and usually would also be empty of any Extensions and themes (Appearance) in Tools > Add-ons) and their settings. Also, a new profile would have no previous stored website data/settings etc., (Tools > Clear Recent History).

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, it did not solve the problem. When I tried to create a new profile as you suggested in the Terminal function, I got an error message that firefox bin unexpectedly quit, and it wouldn't open the profile manager.
