Firefox appears to be running in the background, when I open it up on my computer, but it nevers appears on my monitor. How do I get it to open up on my screen?

When I click on Firefox to open it as my browser...it never opens on my screen...but appears to be running "hidden" in the background.

When I try to get updates for programs, the computer says to close firefox first to update. But since I can't even see Frirefox on the screen. I don't know how to close it.

Why can't I see Firefox, even though it appears to be running "open" hidden somewhere on my computer.
