Thunderbird 140.4.0esr (64-bit) - LINUX - no numbers shown when typing on new email...
Hello This is rather weird... to me at least!
I recently noticed while I was replying an email, that when I type numbers they are not visible.
If I send email - sent it to myself, I can see numbers are there!
Only happens on new emails!
I already tried downgrading up to the point I could not downgrade more as - it obviously and annoyingly cannot load emails on a not very old version.
Never mind that - I much preferred version 1115-125 really.
Can anyone help.
I am going insane.
On any other computer with various version all works.
Thank you M

I am on Linux Mint 22.1 Xia - Cinnamon - all updated - for a second I thought maybe Kernel problem, but only on new messages? Na Just updated kernel - no change - obviously.
Thunderbird is the Flatpak version - I prefer it contained in Flatpak
What is weirder, I have not done anything to it or the whole Linux system!
I even was away for almost 2 weeks, I barely use it at present as browsing and emails. Sometime testing hardware.
Thanks
Note: I am no Linux guru - please be simple - thanks
Modified
I have taken Flatpak version off and used the System one (the +Zara) and imported data.
Same
I also noticed - although email works fine, it does not connect its Browser?
IS there a About:config setup to chose which browser.
I am just guessing it wants to use Chrome that does not exist in any of my computers?
Thanks M
PS the end of Thunderbird ? mmm On mobile I do not use it, used k-9mail then you know what and I use alternative one now...
Modified
I switched to Betterbird and works fine.
The only problem I have is that I cannot drag and drop emails from a folder to an inbox and vice-versa.
I used to do it...
Let us know if you find out the exact cause of the problem
