Suggestion for Thunderbird icons

Rick replied

I use Thunderbird for email and Edge for my browser. Unfortunately the icons for the two are so similar it's difficult to tell them apart. I'd like to suggest that Thunderbird/Mozilla allow users to substitute their own icons for the running programs if they don't want to use the default one.

Good idea, Perhaps post it in the forum linked from the Thunderbird help menu for feedback and ideas where it might get some consideration https://connect.mozilla.org/

Thanks, Matt. I've posted the suggestion there. (I thought there must be a place for suggestions but couldn't find it.)

One can switch Thunderbird icons on the Macintosh now in the same way that one can replace the icon on any folder. I don't know what it takes in Windows.
