How do I permanently stop threading?
What setting do I need to change so that threading does not occur in any of my email folders? I hate this feature and wish to remove it permanently.

I downloaded this version, and I think I found the global settings. and changed it to unthreaded. I restarted Thunderbird with the indicated setting change, but my inbox still shows the same threading. Unfortunately, it has not changed anything. Is there anything else I need to change?

The Thunderbird release version (currently 137.0.2) has a global setting to easily turn on/off threading. https://www.thunderbird.net/

Apologies, I was stupid and forgot to click on the use on all folders box. I did that and restarted Thunderbird, and that fixed the problem!
