Thunderbird feels very slow.
Hello,
I would very much like Thunderbird to be my main email program on my MacBook Pro. However, Thunderbird feels very slow compared to Apple Mail or MailMate.
Installed software:
- Thunderbird 128.1.1esr (64-bit)
- macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 (23G93)
Some examples of slow:
- when using keyboard `down` key to go over each message in a folder, displaying the selected email can't keep up with me going over the list.
- when using the mouse, sometimes selecting an email message (left-click and hold) is processed fractions of a second later. I have to wait for the visual rendering of the selected image before moving my mouse to drop the message somewhere else.
Is there a development track to improve the speed of Thunderbird (on macOS)?
