Mewe won't open on firefox. All I get is a blank page. Have not touched any settings. I don't have this issue on anything else I open on Firefox, nor do this occur on any other browser. Please fix.

Try to clear the site data and cookies, this will help you solve the problem. Thank You.

That didn't solve it. This is something that happened after the last update. It got slower and slower loading and then there was just a blank page.

Same issue for me. Here's what happens: I get the MeWe login page fine; log in; the basic form of the page starts to load (colors, borders) then the screen goes blank and I get this error message:

"Your browser is not supported. We cannot provide a good experience to your browser. To use this site, please upgrade to the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or some other modern browser."

Am I up to date? Overall, my Ubuntu 14.04 LTS reports "system up-to-date".

But I have found: an out of date Shockwave Flash under "Add-ons Manager" with a message saying it's out of date and should be updated, which it can't be, b/c it's no longer being supported and is a security risk; I deactivated this. I also found: "[yellow alert triangle] Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc. will be installed shortly". This does not seem to change (ie, it doesn't seem to get the installation it's pining for).

Prior to all this, yes, I cleared cache and cookies, rebooted, tried safe mode... no go.

Any help?

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Do you have enabled "Resist Fingerprinting" if you check ‘’’Resist Fingerprinting’’’ on the ‘’’about:config’’’ page as this affects the user agent?

Remove this add-on. If you still have Flash on your system, you might think of removing it.

This is built into Firefox.

Thank you for attempting to help. I checked the UserAgent and Fingerprint and as best as I can tell these things were not the problem.

I cannot uninstall Flash, as this is beyond my technical abilities in Linux (it appears to be all "command line" level work, and this is beyond me).

What makes me suspicious though is that MeWe is LITERALLY the only website that fails to run on Firefox right now. Logically, this suggests to me that the problem is not actually Firefox, but MeWe, otherwise there would be more frequent website fails.

Thank you for trying.

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":
