Several weeks ago I tried the access eBay and got the following error message:

Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.ebay.com/sch/ebayadvsearch/?" on this server. Reference #18.f924c17.1608206592.152fe04c

Ever since then I receive the same error message when I try to load eBay. I talked to someone at eBay and they suggested it was related to interference by a VPN program.

Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi

Are you using Firefox on an employer's device/network? Do you use a VPN?

I am using Firefox on my laptop at home, with an xfinity wifi connection. About a month ago I received one of those periodic Firefox come-ons extolling the virtues of using VPN. I clicked on it to see what it was about, but declined to sign up and exited the program. My problems with eBay began shortly after that. I'm wondering if I may have inadvertently added VPN. I certainly didn't intend to. But if I did, how do I get rid of it?

I also have google chrome installed on my laptop. I have no problem accessing eBay on Chrome.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.
