I think I lost them on a very recent update. The only book mark now is "Getting Started". I went through the help menu and the only bookmarks folder it led me to was "june 21, 2019" so nothing before today. Any ideas? I have a back up service "BackBlaze" that I've never used. It may be there but I'd need to know what folder I'm looking for. Thanks in advance,

If you lost personal data then it is possible that a new default-release profile folder has been created.

See "Determine if Firefox has created a new profile":

You can open the about:profiles page via the location bar to check whether multiple profiles are present and what profile Firefox currently is using.

Firefox 67 and later can use a dedicated profile for each of the Firefox update channels and will lock the profile, so it can only be used by Firefox in a specific installation folder. For Release versions this profile would be a xxxxxxxx.default-release profile, profiles used in older Firefox versions usually used a xxxxxxxx.default profile (a refresh adds a time stamp).

Okay, I found a way. Here's what I did. I've got a win7 machine. I went to C:\Users\putyournamehere\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles There were 3 profiles. The newest one from 6/21 (today), 1 from 6/5/19 and an older one. I opened up the newest profile for me, Opened "bookmarksbackup" and cut the bookmarks file and pasted it on my desktop so I wouldn't lose it. Then I went into the 6/5 profile/bookmarksbackup folder and copied the latest bookmark file from there. I then went back into the bookmarksbackup folder for the 6/21 profile and pasted the 6/5 bookmarks in there.

I did all this with Firefox closed and when I opened it I got my bookmarks back!

I hope this helps someone. I'm not really a computer whiz so if someone else has a better suggestion or just a better way to word this solution that would be great. Thanks!
