local folders wont use email1 folder on a thumbdrive

I have a thumbdrive (1TB) with thunderbird installed and a local folder on the drive called email1. It worked fine until today when it suddenly said the folder is not suitable for storage How do I get it to work

ok I solved the problem Install thunderbird to a folder called thunderbird on the pendrive. Add the local folders folder to the pendrive and link local folders within the pendrive through thunderbird local folders setting. I then links because the folder is not in the same directory
