firefox quantum and firefox quantum dev cannot run at the same time

OS: Windows 10 64bit professional

Firefox Quantum and Firefox Quantum Dev cannot run at the same time. The second browser started shows a popup asking to close existing Firefox process. This is a nasty behaviour previous FFox didn't have. Until yesterday I used to work with both browser opened at the same time and I hope I won't be forced to uninstall one of the two.

Othe informations:

  • BEFORE: FFox normal and FFox dev had a different set of bookmarks
  • NOW: FFox quantum normal and FFox quantum dev share the same bookmarks set
  • the previous bookmarks sets stored were deleted during the installation
