bookmark toolbars duplicating on 2 different pcs

I have an old and a new pc. I have specific bookmarks that I have put on my old pc and I want a different set of bookmarks on my bookmark toolbar on the new pc. When I set up the new pc I notice that the bookmarks changed to those on my old machine - how do I set it up so they can be different. Assume my email address associated to both pc's is how it identified me as the same user?

Hi, I assume you must be using Sync. In which case, see Remove a device from Sync to remove your new computer, in How do I set up Sync on my computer?

To put that another way if you choose to Sync bookmarks, they should end up being the same on the Sync'd devices. You can't Sync bookmarks if you want them to be different sets. You still could Sync saved logins, if you like. The various categories have checkboxes on the Options page, Sync panel.
