Uninstall plug-in in Firefox on a Mac

more options

Wish to completely remove a handful of plug-ins from Firefox on my Mac. All the advice I've seen here says to "go to Control Panel" but that's a Windows computer guide.

Firefox does not have a remove plug-in option and the installed plug-ins are not listed in the Applications directory.

Bump... anybody able to answer this question?

What are the necessary steps to remove plugins from Firefox on Mac OSX?

more options

Unlike Extensions and complete Themes which are installed in Firefox, the Plugins are on OS and Firefox is making use of compatible Plugins it finds in a scan. This why you only have activate/de3activate options.

You can type about:plugins in the Location (address) bar in Firefox and it will list all of the Plugins Firefox is using and where they are located on system.

Thanks James, the one thing about the referenced link is that if you follow the instructions ultimately the advice seems Windows specific.

Are the referenced instructions valid for OS X Firefox?
