Can someone help?

Mac OS Yosemite, used the latest Thunderbird Version, saverd pw with Master Passwort. After Update there is no input Field at Thunderbird Start to input the MAster PW, so the Thunderbird is trying to connect to account without login data and freezes.

There is also no way to reset, or change Master PW, because in the dialog is nothing set. Also no stored PW are showed - of course.

I installed and replaced the older Version 31.7.0 downloaded from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/ runs with no problems. I have FIPS Mode For the master password, so I can't deactivate it.

The problem was: activated FIPS encryption. So I deactivated it: before inserting Master PW - Settings (cmd + , ) Security -> Certificates-> fips after deactivation, I tried to update with no problems.

So before you updated, you had FIPS enabled?
