Can't view documents on sites that use a "servlet" to launch view of documnet.

Usually I click on a pdf or a link that launches a pdf into view on another page and Firefox saves it to my downloads. I then click on the download and it launches the PDF. However, on PNC Banks site. I launch a statement which is PDF and it saves a web address servlet to the downloads which won't open. If I tell Windows to use Firefox to open the servlet it opens a new Firefox browser and saves the servlet address to the downloads. Any ideas?
