OSX Text substitutions don't work inside FF 34

Mac OSX 10.10.2; FF 34 When accessing my work email through Web Outlook in FF, OS X systemwide Text substitutions don't work. I set up a lot of substitutions for my work email account (greeting message, signature etc.) In Safari these work very well, but in FF nothing happens. I can't find any setting in FF that would activate them.
