I am writing to request assistance with an issue I am encountering on the latest version of the Firefox browser for Android. My goal is to open specified pages in the same tab using Intent from a third-party custom application. However, I have observed that different URLs open in separate tabs, contrary to my expectations.  Current Implementation:  Here is the code snippet I am currently using: java： Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setData(uri); intent.putExtra(Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID, packageName); startActivity(intent); Expected Behavior:  I expect different URLs to open in the same tab without opening new tabs. This functionality is crucial for my application.  Issue Background:  I have researched similar issues and found that users have had comparable needs using Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID. Unfortunately, it appears that Firefox has not fully addressed this functionality. The EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID is a feature that modern browsers should ideally support to enhance user experience and maintain continuity within a single tab. I had to get a new phone, and Firefox does not accept my password. I also have it on my tablet, and it's fine, and on my laptop, and the password is correct, but the new phone tells me "Try again." It was fine on my old phone.

YouTube video bug that shows the copy / select all floating bar when we double tap to go ahead in the video .. I have attached the screen shot .. ( when I double tap to go like +60 sec and more.. this pop up comes.. when you normally double tap to go +10 or +20 sec ahead it doesn't show up.. but when you want to go ahead in the video by tapping... This bug keeps happening! Please do check out the screen shot that I attached!..

Firefox for Android gets frozen when using it to open large PDF files. I have been meaning to change my default PDF viewer app, but once Firefox has been set as the default PDF viewer for Android, there will no way to change this default; as Firefox default's don't have the option to be deleted through Android's App Info menu.

Hi. I can't watch a video on any website after updating my android app to v.(126.0 I think) because it plays Stuttery and laggy. I don't have much tab open, mainly 2 or 3 and incognito mode doesn't makes any difference. Still videos play laggy as if it's on low fps. The recent update to v126.0.1 didn't fix it either. My phone is galaxy s21 ultra if it matters.

I can't remember when this problem started, but the volume dips down for maybe 1-2 seconds shortly after the start of anything with sound, like YouTube videos and MP3s embedded in a website. On the same phone with Chrome, the problem does not happen.

for a recent update or two, when I am watching videos in fullscreen, at least like me, for example, when I entered fullscreen, the video should play horizontally, but after merely half a minute, the screen orientation goes back to vertical mode automatically, which is not happening when I began to use Firefox android months ago. Watching same website on different browsers, only Firefox goes wrong, so I think this should be Firefox's bug.

I'm running Firefox on Android 13 (Phone is Poco x3 pro). Running version 126.0.1

As soon as I tab out of Firefox and go to another application, for example, a 2FA app or ProtonPass to retrieve a password, then go back to Firefox, the tab will reload.

This basically means that I'm unable to log in to any site which requires 2FA or where I don't know the password by heart.

The phone has 6 GB of ram and I've set Firefox to have no battery restrictions, yet it's not helping.

I don't know what's causing this, but surely this can't be intentional? I've had to go back to Chrome because I'm literally unable to log into most websites.

I've tried reinstalling but no change. I deactivated all extensions (ublock & privacy badger) but that didn't help either.

I'm uploading this on chrome.

The add function does not let me add photos or videos to any website requiring photos or videos for evidence. The "Add Photos (optional)" only says allow but does not upload photo. All permissions are allowed on Oneplus 12.

When I click on a web push notification in Firefox on Android, the link in the notification does not open. If no page is previously open in the browser, a blank tab appears. If another page is open, that page is displayed.

I have a Blackview Tab16 (10" screen), which I bought last year; it was running Firefox quite happily until a couple of months ago. Now when I click on the icon, I get a sort of 'welcome' screen (with some message about a search widget?) for a fraction of a second, then FF closes and I get an error message saying 'Sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed.' The version of FF is 126.0. I was told to try clearing the cache, but there is nothing there to clear! The tablet is running Android 12 / DoKe OS V3.0.

I have an 8" Blackview tablet which - despite needing to be plugged in to run all the time! - opens & runs Firefox perfectly happily. It's my main browser on my MacBook as well, and will run on my iPhone.

Hi. I have to sign in related problems.

I can't Sign in to my work planning website: tjeps.g4s.dk/ESS/. It works fine on Firefox for Windows but on Android I get a new Sign in formular every time i try to sign in. Works on Chrome for Android.

The mandatory Authenticator app in Denmark for all public services "MidID" is not supported on Firefox for Android. Works on Firefox for Windows. This is a huge problem if you wan't Danish users. Also works on Chrome for Android.

I wan't to leave the Google Chrome browser but I am kinda forced not to.

Listening to audiobooks made me notice this problem, often whilst my phone is turned off and the audiobook is playing in the background on a tab on firefox the audio would just stop and i would find either that firefox was still open but unloaded all the tabs, or that it simply crashed. I thought this was a thing that solely happened when playing audio in the background but then i noticed that it is actually a general problem when firefox is kept open in the background. It doesnt happen after a set amount of time, sometimes it happens immediately, sometimes after like 10 minutes that it is kept in the background. How can i fix this? its very annoying.
