Version: FF Android 101.2.0 (plus other version stuff I can provide if needed), Android 12

Just thought I'd report this because it appears to be a consistent, reasonably long-standing issue (months) on a popular news site. Or is it "just me"?

Website: https://www.theguardian.com/uk (several million uniques visitors per month)

Expected behaviour: I am able to open various links on this website as backround tabs and continue browsing.

Actual behaviour: 1. After a couple are opened, Firefox for Android hangs for very close to 40 seconds then does a deep redraw/repaint of all tabs and continues to function until I next try to open another background tab from that website. 2. During the hang tab interface continues to redraw, but the pages are not repainted and no taps events work. 3. At the end of this hang time, the pages appear to redraw from scratch and the context pop-up for the third long-press appears on top of whichever tab I was looking at.

It is 100% repro for me -- long-press fails when attempting to open the 3rd background tab, but repaint failure occurs earlier. There is something toxic happening.

Curiously, when I next view my Android Home screen, there is some sort deep refresh/repaint, as if it has been swapped-out or GC'd etc.

e.g. Is there some massive memory blow-out happening?

Context/workarounds: 1. I have tried clearing all browsing data and using a guess account on the phone. 2. I have no addins installed. 3. Neither Chrome nor FF Desktop exhibit this behaviour. This ia FF Android specific

Hi, I recently bought a samsung odyssey g9 problem is while I see https://perfectclimbing.com/ that looks different on Chrome and different on Mozilla Firefox. Which I prefer to use. Let me know how I can optimize the view.

How do I set the Firefox home page on Android 12? I want to set it so that whenever I open Firefox or press the "home" icon in the upper left corner, it takes me directly to https://www.duckduckgo.com.

Firefox is #3 memory hog on my Samsung phone, at 478MB. Why can't development team make the changes to let users move app & data to external (micro SD) storage? Here's a few of my installed apps that DO support this:

I'm overwhelmed with Spam. When I use Chrome spam goes to the spam folder. Firefox just started doing that the last 2 weeks. I'm 80 years old and don't know how to set up the spam folder. Please help.

Hi all, in Firefox for Android (in the following I will always mean "Firefox for Android" when mentioning "Firefox") 78 it was possible to store login credentials, which were used to authenticate on a web proxy. The web proxy is a "squid" web proxy with enabled user authentication.

With Firefox 91 (I have not determined since which version exactly the behavior was changed, we "jumped" from Firefox 78 to 91) the web proxy asks for the login credentials and the authentication itself is working, but Firefox 78 would prompt the question, whether the user wants to store the credentials. This prompt will not be shown in Firefox 91. Additionally I have tested Firefox 98 and 101, there the prompt will be shown and the credentials will be stored (I can look the credentials up in the Firefox Password Manager), but they will not be "auto-filled" when accessing the web proxy again, after closing the Firefox.

My questions regarding this issue: Does someone know patch notes, where this behavior is mentioned? Does someone know, if this is on any "Mozilla Buglist/Featurelist"? -> before the hint will be given "use the search" -> Does someone know, what the underlying mechanism is, so that I am able to look it up?

Im attempting to install a few apk files onto my laptop, starting with an emulator, at each attempt a pop up window informs me I must go to settings and "uncheck" "Scan apk before installation". Ive looked all up down and around every "Settings" button I could find. nothing, I've seen so far suggests anything close to what that windows keeps blaribg at me. Please help. My SAMSUNG Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the newest Firefox Mobile is currently on problem with pixiv website.

I tried to download (using long press on an image) this artwork : https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/95614546 (NSFW maybe, bunny girl in there)

but Firefox Mobile failed its download process so I retried, and it again.

also I have confirmed this problem is occurred with any and only pixiv website images. :(

Are there solutions for?

Why, when I click on a URL while using Firefox on my Android phone, is it always invoked in the address field via google.com? I get that Android is Google, but does anyone know a way to disable this totally unnecessary, and privacy-destroying, functionality?

I have a HUDL 2 running Android version 5.1. I just updated Firefox 94.1.0 through Google Play and now all the pictures, icons, thumbnails in Firefox show as black squares. I have uninstalled/re-installed firefox but to no avail. Can anyone help?

Hi. Everytime I try to download torrents or their magnet links I get this following error message.

'This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app, or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page.'

- BTW, I already have Bittorrent installed.
