Why does Firefox for Android not have a better tab view on larger screens. I want to be able to easily switch between tabs on a large screen. I have the Tab S10 Ultra. I have been using Samsung Internet on my tablet as it looks like a browser on a computer with the large screen, but I want to use Firefox, but it needs to be easier to use on a large screen Android.

I've been using Firefox for Android for a few years now, and for most of this duration I have set the 'Open links in apps' setting to 'Ask before opening'. Up until around 2 weeks ago this was working properly, however in the past 2 weeks it acts inconsistently and led to issues:

- when opening a new tab and navigating x.com (one example) as soon as I confirm the URL it will open the installed application without asking for confirmation to open the link in the app. If I then close the app and tab and re-enter the address, it seems I more often than not DO get the confirmation if I want to open the link in app or not.

- when visiting the same website through a Google search it DOES consistently ask for confirmation to open link in app or not.

- this affects every URL that links to an app installed on my phone (Reddit, banking apps, etc.)

- at times, if later at any point during the same session (haven't 'killed' the Firefox process/app or rebooted phone) I enter the same URL again (x.com) it again attempts to open the app without asking for confirmation, but fails to do so leading to Firefox just being a blank screen without any possible interaction.

- also in the past 2 weeks, I've had 3 instances where I was using an app in which I had to make a payment, which then opens the payment link in Firefox, from where I then select 'pay with banking app'. I the get the confirmation to open in app or not. I select open app, but it refuses to do so. The confirmation box disappears but the banking app does not start. Pressing the 'pay with app' button on the website again does nothing, it do not get the confirmation box again nor does the app start. I may have had this issue once in the past but it seemed to be related to the banking app at that moment, it now seems to be a more consistently occurring issue.

I have toggled the 'open links in apps' setting back to always on, off, then back to 'always ask' but this didn't fix the issue. Also cleared app cache.

It's a frustrating issue for my daily use, any suggestions and/or fixes would be much appreciated. If I can somehow share relevant logs I'll gladly do so.

How can I remove "Firefox suggests" URLs from the address/search bar on Android? I found the help article "Firefox Suggest for Mobile" (last updated 4/22/24) but when I follow its directions, I only see the first 3 toggleable options. "Suggestions from Firefox" and "Suggestions from sponsors" don't appear at all. The suggested URLs are frequently sites I have never been to and never want to go to, and their appearance is extremely irritating. Attached is a screenshot of the settings page as it appears to me, with only 3 options.

I'm trying to add Google chrome or any other search engine in as an additional one. So to add a new search engine you have to title it and then add in its address. I cannot figure out how to write this out correctly. Could someone please help. Thank you kindly.

I have located the setting to allow DRM-controlled content, and it is set to Allow. However any DRM-controlled content I try to play just says "Your browser does not support this media type. Please turn on DRM in this browser or use another device."

This is using the most recent Firefox version, updated today.

Hi. Websites suddenly are too zoomed in and I didn't change anything - not intentionally. The zoom function works but fully zoomed out is too big. This is only in Firefox and not the other browsers.

My Firefox for Android has gone nuts. Everything shows in tiny fonts and all formatting has been lost. By that I mean that entire web pages are now showing where previously only pertinent sections were showing.

I've attached a screen shot of my Yahoo email page. Previously only the inbox showed with 20 emails to a page. Now the whole page shows. I have no idea what changed, or what I inadvertently changed, to get this result.

J'avais, parallèlement, activé la synchronisation sur les divers appareils sur lesquels Firefox était installé. La recherche des mots de passe dans mon smartphone (système d'exploitation Androïd) s'exécutait sans problème, que ce soit en utilisant l'empreinte ou le schéma d'authentification. Depuis 1 mois, sans raisons apparentes, je n'ai plus accès au module de mots de passe. L'authentification ne permet pas l'ouverture de la section pour faire apparaitre la liste des mots de passe, et l'empreinte qui le permettait après de multiples tentatives, pendant une certaine période, est désormais sans effet. Pourriez vous me communiquer quelles pourraient être les causes de ce phénomène et comment réparer ce dysfonctionnement. J'ai déjà essayé de désinstaller et réinstaller l'application Firefox sans résultats. Je vous remercie du concours que vous voudrez bien m'apporter. Cordialement.

After the last update the address bar is divided into two parts. One below and the other above. How can I change the settings that I get only a address bar above with two parts. Attached the screen

Settins not available after linking Google to Firefox. Upper right drop down does not list settings as "Help" searches recommend. Make this readily available at all times. This must be a google feature. It's annoying and arrogant. Another reason google is so appreciated, ha-ha?

Hello, My Firefox on Android (latest version) is missing the "always" setting in "open links in native apps". It is also clear to me that this version doesn't even ask me to open links in native apps (that is the current setting). I would like to understand if this is a bug or something that has changed in one of the releases and the help pages aren't yet updated. Thanks

I'm sorry for the question, usually this is something easy to fix on a PC or phone, but I'm on my tablet (Samsung, android) and somehow none of the settings available here, offer a solution in lowering the font size on my screen. I've looked at YouTube videos, gone into reddit and even asked Google, yet all the answers are somewhat the same but cannot be found while I'm on this tablet. I need help please!!! 😫

Suddenly when using Google on my tablet the search results have become too small to read I see no way of adjusting this apart. from zooming with my fingers. I have played with accessiblity settings and reinstalled without success. Other sites seem OK and Chrome works well too. I see from the various support forums that this has happened regularly in the past but no one comes up with a good answer. I don't want to dump Firefox.
