while I was running a game on steam (Apex legends), and Firefox on my other screen, I was using too much memory, so the steam game and Firefox crashed. The game works fine, but Firefox won't load anything, Except for settings and the "About:" pages. When I try to visit a website it does not even attempt to load it, but the website does show up in my history. I've restarted Firefox, I have reinstalled Firefox, I have restarted my computer, I've cleared my cookies and cache history, but no websites will load and it will only run properly in troubleshooting mode. Oddly enough it won't load any websites but while I'm in the add-on manager I can download extensions.

Issue When opening a link from any other app, the Firefox switches to another virtual desktop if there's an existing Firefox window open.

Reproduce the Issue

  1. Set Firefox to default browser
  2. On Windows 10, open 2 virtual desktops. Use Task View button in Taskbar or use keyboard shortcut Win + Tab and then click on New Desktop. Now you should see 'Desktop 1' and 'Desktop 2', if Task View is opened again.
  3. On Desktop 2, open a new Firefox window.
  4. Switch back to Desktop 1 from Task View.
  5. Open any link (E.g.: https://www.mozilla.org/) from any other app like MS Word, MS Teams, etc.
  6. The virtual desktop would switch to Desktop 2 and open the link on exiting Firefox window.

Question Is there a way to open the link on same virtual desktop in a new window?

Improvement - If it already doesn't exist. Instead of opening the link in existing Firefox window on Desktop 2, open a new Firefox window on Desktop 1 to open the link.

We have a normal file upload control in our website. It was working fine for smaller and larger files. But after upgrading firefox version to 100, it is not working. If file size is less than 250 kb then it works sometimes.

For older Firefox versions and other web browsers (Chrome, Edge) it is still working fine.

No error coming at UI/web console:

For the 2 weeks or so, I've been having an intermittent problem connecting to any Google services (Gmail, google.com, Google Calendar, Youtube). In gmail, it tells me that I'm offline or "Oops, error getting emails". If I browse to www.google.com, I just get a blank screen.

This seems to have coincided approximately with the release of Firefox 100, but I'm not totally sure it's related. If I clear all cookies and cache, that seems to resolve the problem temporarily, but it comes back. If I open a Private window or another container, that also seems to resolve the problem temporarily, but it comes back.

Other browsers work with no problem.

If I open a new container, it will work for a while, but eventually stop connecting. This doesn't happen with other websites. Only Google related websites.

I have tried doing a Firefox refresh, but that didn't resolve the problem.
