Good morning from London, UK,

Recently became unable to update Spybot and Malwarebytes. Ran Windows Defender which didn't find anything but when I run ClamWinPortable, it produced and moved the file to quarantine. This makes Firefox unusable. Reinstalled Firefox via another browser and the same thing happens. Do you have any suggestions please?

Shoot!! I just filled this out, and somehow, it reverted me back to This screen again!! I am not a programmer or IT Guy. What I am is a person that is Very alert to sudden changes in my experiences. I retired 14 years ago, as a Manager in a Manufacturing industry. Very familiar using desktop. For some reason, about a couple weeks ago, some of my sites have begun using google adds, over and over. When I click on the "X", wants to know why, etc. I use Malware Bytes, scans every day. Does NOT discover any malware, but I KNOW something has changed to allow the bombardment! Is it possible it's just a single site that I had to change and log in to? Even if so, WHY doesn't Malware stop them? Should I try a system restore to weeks ago? I am on here Every day.so I'm pretty cognizant of changes! ADVICE PLEASE!! Bruce Pierce

My firefox browser stopped working today. It will not load any website. It just sits there and the dot just goes back and forth. It worked fine yesterday. 3-2-2024. My email is randrcv@sti.net.

I am once again having issue with Hotmail and Firefox. It's working perfectly fine in Pale Moon, but it's gone totally blank in Firefox. It worked totally fine yesterday, but today I cannot access ANYTHING in Hotmail. Firefox says it's up to date, but usually when I start having issues with Hotmail, it's because Firefox needs to update. Please help fix this problem! All other websites work fine! Thank you!

I have Firefox open. When I click on a link in Thunderbird instead of opening the page in the open Firefox window, it opens a second Firefox window? This just started happening and I don't know what I might have done to cause it. Using Windows 8.1.

There are thousands of answers to this question but I can't find one that works for me. I am using a tablet computer without a mouse or keyboard so mouse click solutions and keyboard short cut solutions don't work.

I want to just tap on a link with my finger and have it open in a new window. Every time. I know I can hold on the link and get a list of options including "open in a new window" but I want to eliminate that step because my fat fingers sometimes select the wrong list item.

Any help?

I recently discovered that it is quite true that some folks (including the folks at Mozilla) store cookies in DOM storage.

For example, it is impossible to log into your Mozilla account (because you are not accepting cookies!) if you have set dom.storage.enabled = false using the about:config editor.

So, as you can see, those sneaky folks at Mozilla :) like to obscure "cookie" collecting by using DOM storage cookies instead of the usual cookies everyone complains about and have to be warned about by law. (I love the "I don't care about cookies" extension, by the way. It shuts up that completely asinine annoyance.)

As a test of sorts I would like toggle the blocking of DOM cookies on a regular basis by toggling dom.storage.enabled. Rather than going back and forth and toggling the value manually using the about:config editor I would like to automate the process, possibly with a Windows batch file or a script. Also, possibly, (just for fun) I would like to take this concept of the automating the changing of certain preference values into building an extension. If I ever learn how to properly code one, that is.

So, my question is -- Where is the dom.storage.enabled value stored? (I examined the pref.js file but it is not there unless it has some other name.)

"Sorry, the video player failed to load.(Error Code: 101104)" - this error message happens on some sites but not others. I believe there are more than one type of streaming transmission but do not know how to determine which is failing. For example, the streaming daily report on Democracynow.org fails while the reports on http://www.bbc.com/news/video_and_audio/international does not. This has been a problem for weeks now. I view both of these sites every day but must now use Microsoft Edge (ugh) to view democracynow.org.

On some Globo pages, the Reader View does not return the text content of a page. It does return content, but I don't know from where.

It does not happen on every page, and I can't figure out what the difference is between pages that work & pages that don't.

Hello, I have intermittent problems of not receiving certain emails on my Commander.net.au server. For reasons unknown emails which contain documents such as newsletters or greeting cards do not arrive in my email account. I have checked with the sender and they have definitely been sent to the correct address but never arrive. Commander claim there is no firewall to prevent this from happening. Is there a Firefox firewall that is stopping these emails?? Many thanks, Steve

Since updating to Firefox 100.0.1 cannot print any web pages. Cannot print to a printer, or to FoxIt pdf printer. Printing in MS Edge works with no problems. I have cleared saved print settings - did not fix problem. Please advise. Thank you.

using firefox, utube has dropped the feature of being able to remove timestamps on transcripts. Has anyone figured out how to get them back as an option to remove them? Thanks for your help.

Fireox has opened for me for years, but now it won't open! I get this error message: Secure Connection Failed

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.>

I can see the package.onesearch.org site trying to open BEFORE Firefox, but I am NOT trying to open it! I never even heard of it! Why would a site open at the same time as Firefox?

How do I delete package.onesearch.org from the opening? It is not in my bookmarks.

Hi,

Like everyone else, I have thousands of bookmarks subdivided into folders. When you use 'Bookmark Manager' in Chrome it opens in a live tab and stays resident in that tab when you use it to open other URLs in new tabs. In Firefox, click to open a URL in a new tab and 'Wham', every time, the Bookmark Manager is gone. It is then a faff to open it again to find a different bookmark.

Unless I'm missing something, this involves opening the same Bookmark Manager in it's own window every time I want a bookmark, which seems ridiculous. If it persisted in its own window that would be something...

Is this correct? Is this a shortcoming and is there a fix for this please?
