I am using Firefox in a Linux environment with multiple workstations, where I may be logged into more than one workstation at once. The workstations have an auto-mounted home file system such that my home directory (including my Firefox profile directory) are shared.

Because of this, when I try to launch Firefox on a second workstation, I get an error saying "Firefox is already running but is not responding". I have read the support articles about this issue, and other community support threads, but none of them address this use case.

I wish to use the same profile, so that I still have all my bookmarks and such, and have them continue to stay up-to-date. How can I do so in this environment?

On some webpage, I experience delay response when I trying to search sometime. For example, in Google homepage after typing something or even gibberish the page froze and not responding for about 10 second but the browser is still functioning (meaning I can still move other tabs or open option). Once that 10s delay is over, it responded with my result. And something when I when to search back something again(not in the homepage), more of the time is response back fast like 0.2s but other time the same 10s delay. This problem also happens in some other website but not all in their search bar. I have try in safe mode. disable all my extension, reinstall Mozilla Firefox, check any windows update and such. Also other browser does not have this problem such as chrome and brave. If this problem still persisting then I would such to other browser but prefer not to as I quite fond of Firefox. Hi there, I have been using Firefox for over twenty years now, but the latest findings are frightening. I use openhab for my smarthome and the openhab cloud website was not rendering properly under Firefox, so I tried Chrome. The page loaded without any problems. I had this behavior on desktop, Android phone and Android tablet. Sometimes I could fix the problem by deleting the browser data, but not always. I did a lot of settings on the tablet and thought it was not responsive, but it turned out to be Firefox. With Chrome, the application responds directly on the first click. But the worst thing was that I had a conversation with Amazon using my laptop and was waiting for a response. I reloaded the page countless times with Ctrl+F5 until I tried Chrome. The response was immediate and I didn't see it until three days later. Since then I keep noticing things not loading or updating in Firefox.

I don't know what I should look for this three devices have the same bad behavior. Is there already an effort to fix this? If not, I'll have to bite the bullet and switch browsers. I don't like the idea because twenty years is a long time.

When Firefox is in fullscreen mode and Windows taskbar is set to autohide the taskbar cannot be accessed unless I press the windows key to bring up the entire start menu. Once the start menu has been accessed and the same window is in focus, it works as intended by moving the mouse to the bottom of the screen. Switching windows breaks the function again.

I am a very long-term user of Firefox. I have a newish windows laptop and I use the hibernate function when I want to start and stop a windows session. I have been using windows 11 for a good while now without any problem, but about 6 weeks ago I started to get a new problem - Firefox now can take up to 4 minutes to load or reload a page after hibernation. The length of time to reconnect time varies. This only affects Firefox. There is no problem with my internet - other programmes and apps load immediately, and at the same time as Firefox is still trying to load a page/any page I haven't added any new add-ons and can't think of anything I've done that could cause this issue. I thought this would be a windows 11 issue caused after an update, but after a bit of searching on Google, Reddit and Mozilla Help/ I can't find anyone else with a similar problem.

When I tried to print a few Firefox pages - one including a Google map that printed fine when I used Safari - my Brother MFC L6700DW printer would say, for about 10 seconds, that it was receiving data, and then that message would disappear without my printer printing anything. This happened with another website on Firefox as well.

Does anyone know what's going on? I normally have been able to print from Firefox.

Hi all. Some websites creates a little popup window in the top right corner of my browser "Log into your Google account" and I cannot figure how to make this PERMANENTLY stop doing it. I just click the "X" to avoid doing so, but I wish to have this stop happening before uninstalling my Firefox browser completely. I'm here only because I have lost patience with that feature and lost patience trying to figure out how to stop it. Please, help, anyone. Thank you.

i cant get the solution below to work- i cant find these options in my Firefox (v116) which is up to date askasik. i dont have 'Options' under my 'Tools' dropdown

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems. "Clear the Cache":

   Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now" 

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

   Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

ffox dropping frames while watching youtube

This happens only on youtube (as far as I can detecet).

It happens on a Yoga 9i (1360p processor), latest patched windows 11, latest ffox (installed from MS store, currently 116.0.3). Machine has Iris graphics and uses latest avaliable driver (same thing happened with older driver too, I made an update while trying to pinpoint the problem).

So, when I start firefox I can watch a number of clips, but at some point something happens and from that moment on, my youtube videos have 99% dropped frames (I can hear sound ok, I can see subtitles, but the video is frozen).

As far as I can see, it happens on avc1 or vp9 codecs (I dont knw if that is significant). MS Edge runs same videos fine, network works flawlessly.

Funny thing I noticed today is that if I close firefox and start it again, problem will go away but repeat itself after a number of videos. Closing only youtube tab does not help (forcing cache refresh also does not help).

p.s. youtube hidef plugin was also installed in hopes of solving the problem

Hi, when I use excel online on firefox after some time (sometimes few hours, sometimes few minutes) excel tab gets blurry and when I click on certain cell in the sheet, it highlights cell that is two/three rows up, so I'm unable to work. Everything gets back to normal when I clear all browser data and cookies and relaunch it. This does not happen in other browsers, but I love firefox and I have configured here a few useful extensions so I want to stick to it. Any Ideas how to fix it?

Hello, Firefox friends!

I'm having some issues with Firefox on my Ubuntu system and I'm really hoping someone can help me fix them.

   Problem with Downloads: When I try to download something and click on a link, a new tab opens. But then it immediately closes and nothing downloads.
   Button Issues: Some buttons within Firefox just don't seem to work.

I've tried a few things already:

   Checked for Firefox and Ubuntu updates
   Ran Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode
   No antivirus because I'm on Ubuntu

If anyone has faced similar issues or knows how to fix this, please help!

Hi, I'm using 116.0.3 (64-bit) Firefox, everything works perfectly except it takes so much time to start to load a page. For example, if I'm entering Google homepage it takes about 6-10 seconds just to start loading and then loads very quickly the page. Sometimes it does load it normally and very quickly but is not often. I love Firefox and I don't want to replace it, in Chrome it works fine. Please help me to find a solution. The problem started about 2-3 weeks ago. Thank you very much!

This is what I tried: -Using Safe Mode and Troubleshoot mode didn't change anything - Removing all the extensions - Deleting history, cache and cookies (using JV16 or PrivaZer or built in Firefox settings) - Refreshing Firefox - Deleting with JV16 to remove everything that is related to Firefox and reinstalling from the official site. - Disabling Hardware Acceleration - Disabling DNS Prefetch - Changing DNS (1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 or default by supplier) - Using custom config settings following this guide: ("Make Firefox fast again")

Hi, i'm using firefox since many years and would like to continue doing so. Unfortunately I'm experiencing a big issue with the browser on my new windows pc which other browsers don't have and I would be very grateful if you'd help me solve them

The problem is that Google pages often don't load (for about a minute) Once every hour I have to research on google or other google-related websites such as Youtube, google docs, maps, etc. for work and very often they appear offline. After about a minute of refreshing the page, they work again (note: this is no internet connection issue: the same pages work on other browsers such as chrome and I even switched to another internet provider hoping to solve the problem, without any improvement)

Did somebody solve the same problem or is capable of helping me?

Things i already tried: cancelling cookies, deleting addons, re-installing firefox

Hi I am getting this message when trying to view the `preview` of an item that I am listing on the ebay site.....Firefox Can’t Open This Page

`To protect your security, signin.ebay.co.uk will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window.`

I have no idea what this means? but I cannot see the preview on ebay. Everything is up to date and was working a few days ago. Thank you.
