When I finally decided to start organizing my hundreds of bookmarks, I began to experience a crash every 1-2 minutes. I'm opening, editing and moving bookmarks into different folders, which by itself shouldn't cause frequent crashes. My phone's specs shouldn't be an issue either since I have an s24 ultra. I'm grateful for any replies, and would like to thank you for your time.

When I use 'Manage Bookmarks' and the Library to delete bookmarks and bookmark folders in addition to cleaning up duplicate bookmarks, the deleted folders and bookmarks automatically reappear in my Bookmark sidebar 1-2 hours later.

Initially, I had sync on but did not have Bookmarks checked for syncing. Deleted bookmarks and folders still reappeared. Then I turned off sync for this browser / machine. Deleted bookmarks and folders still reappeared.

I tried to see if there was a setting that enabled automatic restores of bookmark backups - but could not find one to turn off. I have tried refreshing the installation and starting again - using a one-time sync from another machine - but continue to be unable to permanently delete old / obsolete / duplicate bookmarks and folders.

I've also tried 2 Bookmark clean-up extensions. While I am able to delete duplicates and empty folders using these tools, 1-2 hours later they are back in the Bookmark sidebar.

Is there anyway to prevent the automatic restoration of the Bookmark Library?

As of today 5/20/2024 Firefox stopped saving bookmarks. The star turns blue to indicate the bookmark was saved, but when I check the folder in Bookmarks it's not there.

Firefox is my GoTo browser. I appreciate that it is open source and respects privacy and security.

Right now I am struggling with release 126.0 on a Lenovo tablet running Android 13. My issue is the use and access to bookmarks. Unlike previous versions of Firefox there seems to be no way to get a bookmarks toolbar. That was a helpful feature in previous versions. And favorites are not as clean. My hope is that Mozilla will return to a bookmark toolbar.

i like firefox on my cell phone as well as on my pc, but i encounter a problem on my tablet. The screen is big enough that I could display my bookmarks bar permanently (as well as tabs). if I want to look up several things quickly, which would certainly be possible with my tablet with keyboard and mouse, I can't even do that because I can't open the bookmarks that quickly.

however, i can understand that this is not permanently implemented, but i would like to have a customization option via on/off in the settings and while we are on the subject, an option to switch tabs on/off like on the desktop like the page marker permanently on desktop mode would be really nice.

of course it could be that these options already exist, then it would be that i am too stupid to find them because i really couldn't imagine that they don't exist and have already rummaged through all the options.

Recently, when I type in the URL bar, there is only 1 suggestion from my bookmarks. Before, there were several bookmarks that show.

I want the previous behavior back so that I only need to type a few characters and then choose one of the suggested bookmarks in the list of results. Now, I need to keep typing a lot more characters/words before the 1 bookmark I want shows up. Sometimes I can’t recall enough of the full URL so the bookmark I want never shows up.

This is a big downgrade in the user experience. Is there a setting to go back to the previous behavior?

I have to install firefox new everyday on a library computer, (short answer mine was stolen and I can't replace it for now).

Anyway used to have no problem I would go in install firefox sign in and my bookmarks were repopulated. Today I installed firefox and nothing. No bookmarks, no add ons nothing its like a blank install with new profile.

I do not have a backup saved profile on this computer as it is a virtual machine and each day when it shuts down it wipes the programs and data installed. Because firefox repopulated the bookmarks each day when I re-installed it I was not aware I needed to create my own backup I assumed that it was just something in firefox that worked well and another reason why I prefere to use it.

Until today it was not an issue once I signed in everything would re appear but today its all gone. Is there anyway to recover this as it is very important that I do. I use these bookmarks a lot.

I have many rare bookmarks. This time I sell my old laptop and rent another laptop. The laptop rental a strange windows version (probably a hack one) and some strange apps (like 360 what what), I uninstalled the 360 what what apps. Then I downloaded and installed firefox and open all bookmarks become 365whatwhat. I did not care it so much, I logged in my firefox account, but the bookmarks did not change! hello firefox support, i recently signed into firefox on desktop but now i cant seem to remeber the account password so after making a new password after clicking on forgot password ,will i lose my bookmarks and ad-ons and all the customized settings? pls help me in this situation i dont want to lose my data pls .

Why are basic features like editing bookmarks not in the app. On chrome you are able to click and hold on a bookmark to select it, then click and hold on it again to move it anywhere you'd like in the folder. Also there is no "move to" option on Firefox which would make sorting much easier, it would be nice to have such a simple feature like this for convenience.

On my Tablet, the Bookmarks have decided to split into two folders :Bookmarks and Other Bookmarks. Not what I want. Is there any way that I can get them to combine to just Bookmarks?

So on my Legion laptop, Windows 11 Home, the bookmarks keep rearranging themselves, iv also noticed A LOT of duplicates and folders which I did not add. I rebooted the laptop then tried scanning the it with WindowsDefender and Malwarebytes, and refreshing the application. On my desktop which is synced, there is no issue. I thought I was seeing things at first until I focused right on the bookmark tool bar and every 10-20 seconds one will just pop into a new position. Will a fresh install work? That's my next step, but wanted to see if there is a better solution.
