Blocking remote content by default is a very positive security feature. But needing to add each and every email address individually is NOT optimum and wastes a lot of time. We really need a method to globally allow remote content from specified domains. For instance, it would be handy to allow remote content from any/all email from IBM, but I certainly don't want this for gmail.com addresses. This seems like a very simple improvement to code.

This has probably already been asked, but I can't find anything related to it. Ebay sends email from members that looks like "randomxyz@members.ebay.com". I would like to add the domain "members.email.com" so email from ANY member will be whitelisted and have remote content displayed. If this is possible, how do I set it up? Thanks in advance.

On the iPhone and iPad it is possible to automatically open a desired URL when opening a new tab. But is it seriously not possible to do this on a Windows PC? It doesn't make sense to me, as browsers on PCs usually have more functions and mobile browsers have fewer functions.

Using Firefox for webmail, There used to be an option to spellcheck a "Composed" message before sending it. Probably after a recent "upgrade", that option seems to have disappeared. True? Can I get the facility back in some way?

Thunderbird has destroyed itself by putting emails into threads starting some time in the last year. How do you stop this? I can't find important emails anymore by the date I sent them (hence becoming a needle in a haystack and actually might not even be visible). Why would anyone wish this on themselves? I even have situations where emails are in the browser, yet don't download into Thunderbird. It's a horrible problem. Hey Thunderbird programmers: If it ain't broke, don't fix it I say.

I visited about:support for the first time today, and I notice a list of Add-ons I was unaware of (i.e. I did not installed these), and I have questions.

Some of these made me think about the search shortcuts I see in Firefox's search setting:

Are these preinstalled in the Firefox browser? What is their function? Are the search shortcuts and these add-ons associated?

I want my tabs like in the PC version,in a line across the top. Not hidden under a click me to see tabs.

Can I have more than one bookmark toolbar at the top of the screen? I am a teacher and I have at least 12 maths bookmarks I would like to display as well as my standard / personal bookmarks.

Unattended software (kiosk) here.

Sometimes (so rarely that I cannot reproduce in dev) the client sees this error screen: "Firefox closed unexpectedly while starting..." (see image in attachment)

Sometimes when rebooting the error goes away and Firefox starts normally.

Sometimes even when rebooting the system - this vertical error screen appears, and one solution is to reinstall Firefox, but I'd like not to (if not necessary) or at least programmatically detect the issue and perform the needed actions.

QUESTIONS: How to programmatically detect (bash i.e.) that this error window is present and get rid of it properly? Or, how to (for debugging) force that screen to appear (to force that broken state)?

PS: I'm running Firefox using:

nohup firefox -P ff_custom_profile -new-instance -private-window -kiosk "$url" > /dev/null 2>&1 &

I already have the admx and adml templates installed on my gpo. I would like to control or prevent the install of vpn extensions on the firefox browser.

Specifically I would like to prevent the install of all vpn extensions to the firefox browser for the users in my company. I would like them to download and install other extensions. How could I do this through modifying the json file in the extensions folder of the firefox template in my gpo.

We would like to deploy a configuration profile to our macbooks running Sonoma 14.5 and above. This is being done via Jamf MDM. However when we use our current plist to configure settings, They are not being applied correctly, The issue seems to be with the firefox plist itself and not our Jamf deployment. Would you be be able to advise or could we ask for a plist template that could achieve this?

After last update of Thunderbird on my laptop I can no longer change start upp URL:, or uncheck "show startpage" That means evry time I star Thunderbird, I get the ask for more mony ! But on my PC it runs normal as it alwas have done.

The information on how to solve this dose not work ! It is like the inifile is locked. Mats

Hi, I've recently downloaded firefox and trying to add extensions that were similar to the ones I used on chrome. My problem is that all the extensions (Hoverzoom, Short Keys) in the extensions tab in the toolbar and appear to not be working (both in private and normal browsing). However the extensions (Ublock, SponsorBlock) that have their own icon on the toolbar seem to be working fine.

I have added (as a start) some web shortcuts to my Firefox Focus home screen. However, they are cut off, so I can only see the top part of the label. I can work out what they are but what happens when I add more shortcuts? How can I see the whole shortcut and label, please? I'm using Android version 14.

When I do right mouse click on page, depending on the mouse cursor position, context menu appears and I need to scroll up or down to access appropriate item. I thought I need to try and fix size and position of a page context menu. Is it possible?
