Since I tried a trial subscription to Carbonite, I cannot get rid of the popups even weeks after the trial expired.

I signed up for a trial subscription to Carbonite. That trial expired some time back, but it has become the biggest nuisance of all, with advertisements and fear tactics popping up when I start up and anytime I leave the computer for a few minutes. How do I get rid of this pop up? I thought I was protected from this kind of thing. Thank you for your assistance.

Hey there, I assume that the trial has expired and it's giving you messages because it hasn't been uninstalled yet.

First I would check to see if you have any Carbonite programs still installed. You can check by going to Control Panel -> Uninstall a Program.

You can also check your Firefox add-on locations as it may still be installed as an add-on.

  • Firefox -> Addons -> Extensions
  • Firefox -> Addons -> Plugins
