Dumped Explorer, got Firefox. Asked to retain Favorites list from Explorer but Firefox system didn't import as asked??system

Can you please give a a step by step route to importing my favourites list from my old Explorer Browser. ie When downloading Firefox you are asked is there anything you want to keep from your previous browser...on indicating YES I want to keep Favourites /Bookmarks...It then doesn't apparently import them??

NB My wife also did the same Firefox Down load and had the very same problem. Subsequently had to revert to Explorer as she can't exist without that very long list
