firefox will no longer load my hotmail account - goes to microsoft us and there is a blank page

I have long had a hotmail account. I can no longer access this through firefox although explorer does so with no problems. I have gone to ninemsn.com.au and clicked on the hotmail button. It tries to open a page but goes to some long address starting with mocrosoft US. The page is blank and nothing further happens.
