Hi there,
You don't necessarily need an account to use Firefox browser. However, I highly recommend using Mozilla account to Sync bookmarks, logins and browsing history on Firefox for iOS. It's especially handy if you're using Firefox in multiple devices (desktop, laptop, mobile phone).
