I have 2 email accounts and am using unified inbox. One of the accounts works as expected but the other shows 2 copies of each email in the unified inbox. Why?

Do the emails appear in more than one folder within the account, or have more that one folder label assigned. This could be the cause. The same can also occur if you select, as example, unifying Gmail's "All Mail" and "Inbox" folders.

Thank you for your answer. The probem was that both the inbox and all mail were unified. Greatly appreciated. This was really annoying me!
