I don't use paywalled content. I'll delete my account and uninstall if there is no way to block paywalled content. Thoughts?

Sorry, this should be a Pocket support request.

Firefox doesn’t have a built-in way to block paywalled content, but you can try extensions that filter search results or hide certain sites. If it's a big deal for you, switching browsers won’t change much since paywalls are website-specific.

Hey Andy, you have a good idea here that I've seen mentioned once before in 2020: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1297283

I'm going to file a feature request for Pocket to create a option or filter choice to "Hide Paywall articles". Or possibly, "Only show free articles". As well as a combo option: "Show me both free & paywalled/pay to read articles".

What I usually do is just read the titles of the articles Pocket recommends and the short summary under it. I never have time to read the entire article. It had better be earth shattering news for me to click & actually read it. I just use Pocket as a quick way to be notified of interesting headlines/new stories then google them later for more info. I think I also adopted this way of reading news due to some sites asking for a subscription on the very first article you visit.

I know I personally avoid the NYTimes.com and the washingtonpost.com because of how aggressive their paywalls are. Have you noticed any other news sites as bad as them? The others seem to let you read at least a few articles for free before blocking you from reading more & asking you to buy a subscription. And of course there's the ones where all the articles are free & they show you ads instead.
