space bar no longer toggles play on all sites after switch to macOS 13
I recently migrated to a macOS 13 laptop and now, when I watch video or listen to audio online, the space bar no longer consistently toggles play. That is, for some sites it does, and for some sites it doesn't, whereas before the migration, toggling worked on all sites. Is there a Firefox setting I can use to have space-bar toggling work on all sites again?

The space-bar can only work as such if the player has focus, so you can try to click in the player area to see if that has effect.
On a video, I usually click the image first, which begins play, and then click the space bar to toggle play on and off. So the player already has focus when I click the space bar, but it has no effect. (Again, this is site-dependent behavior; it still works fine on, for example YouTube video.)
