why does firefox stop working every 3 days
i am using windows vista, my antivirus is bitdefender. I have to reinstall firefox every 3-4 days (if im lucky) because it stops working, tried most things suggested. Any ideas????

hi garett,this may sometimes be caused by malware on your system. so next to the security software already in place, please run a scan with various other security tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & eset online one-time scanner.

hi, can you please be more specific about what is going wrong with firefox after a couple of days?
Hi there. Firefox will not activate when i click the icon nothing happens after a few days, this happens time and time again. I have to download again and reinstall.

I had a similar problem with most of my programs and the culprit was the HDD, it was failing and every time I rebooted it took 5-10 minutes.
Thanks Philipp its been a week now and that seems to have worked, i downloaded adwcleaner. Brilliant many thanks
