Sync code problems
Firefox 42.0 incompatible w/limpet.net/key
I absolutely do NOT want to change browaser versions for this since other versions don't work with more used features.
Is there another way to get the sync code for Android?

Sync keys have been deprecated for several years. Unless your Sync account is extremely old your account does not use such a key. The servers that supported Sync with a key were turned off in September 2015.
What are you trying to do?
I would like to update my bookmarks on my Android to reflect those on my PC on FF 42 0.
Is this not possible, as I didn't use any code to initially set up my phone in Dec 2015, but to sync after that initial setup, my desktop says I must. Other FF instructions refer to a 'more' key on top right of device. - I can find the sync word link- it just doesn't do anything. It doesn't generate an error msg either.
Does your PC version of Firefox currently have a live Sync account connection?
If yes:
You should be able to create a new Sync connection on your Android version of Firefox. The standard help articles should be able to walk you through it.

If no:
If your PC was set up on the old Sync service and never migrated to a Firefox account, I think you need to remove that (unlink) and set up Sync again with a new Firefox account. Probably a good idea to make a local backup of your settings first.
Trying the second one....The first sync link you posted is the one that is asking for a code on my PC and not visible on my phone.
