I have three user accounts on a laptop running Windows 10. Firefox was downloaded using one of these 3 accounts (say account1). The other two users are able to use Firefox, but each time one these users signs out, they lose their entire history (browsing+address bar). However, the history on account1 remains intact even after account1 user signs out.

I'd like all three user accounts to access their individual histories. I'm using firefox version 42.

This should be working correctly. The accounts that are not saving history, are these guest accounts, child accounts, or just standard accounts?

Are you running any cleanup software (CCleaner) on the computer that might be causing this?

Thanks for replying. One of the accounts which is not saving history is a Microsoft account (so is account1), while the other is a local account.

I double-checked the settings in Advanced Systemcare 8 for privacy sweep, and found that only "Internet Cache" is enabled for Mozilla firefox. History, Download History and Cookies are unchecked.

Strangely the accounts which are not saving history are able to remember cookies. For example, while logging into Amazon, the webpage displays the correct account.
