My desktop was reset to factory settings. I signed into my sync account, but my bookmarks which are on my laptop, have not came up. Now what?

I have been happily sync-ed for over a year betweem my Mac iBook laptop and my HP desktop - lots of bookmarks - I'm a student. My desktop had a little problem and I had it wiped clean and reset to factory settings. I am now setting it back up. I installed Firefox and made Google my default search engine. Then I logged into sync - no problem (same email, same password... I had it written down!) I clicked sync, but my bookmarks did not come up. I closed Firefox and re-opened it, but still no bookmarks. I looked at the settings and everything is checked. I didn't change anything. What am I missing? Thanks.

Are both devices using the New Sync and most importantly on Firefox 30.

If they are you do not need the old Sync, and even if you use the same email address as was used for Old Sync everything should be working under the New sync.

I believe the new Sync drops devices that have not synced within the last 21 days.

Are both devices using the New Sync and most importantly on Firefox 30.

If they are you do not need the old Sync, and even if you use the same email address as was used for Old Sync everything should be working under the New sync.

I believe the new Sync drops devices that have not synced within the last 21 days.
