On certain websites I go to often to look at picture galleries, if I select view all and then select a specific picture it will show up and then disappear. If I use IE as a browser (on the same computer) it works just fine. I have Firefox tracker blocking enabled and I also use Ad Blocker Plus (ABP) but when I turn these off to the site nothing changes. One of the sites I am talking about is http://www.flexonline.com/galleries.

Thanks, Mike

To determine whether an add-on creates the problem, restart with add-ons disabled.

Click on the menu button upper right, click on the ? button below, select Restart with Add-ons Disabled… then click on Restart.

Hello there,

You'll need to start Firefox in Safe Mode and type: about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

-- Under Advanced, Select General. -- Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

You can also disable all add-ons/extensions on Firefox and see if that solves the issue.

Hope this helps!

If images are missing then check that you do not block images from some domains.

  • Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar

Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images

  • Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
  • If an image in the list is grayed and "Block Images from..." has a checkmark then remove this checkmark to unblock images from this domain.

Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the permissions.default.image pref on the about:config page should be 1.

There are extensions like Adblock Plus (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security (anti-virus) software that can block images and other content.

Banban, Machine Master, and cor-el,

Thanks for your responses but none of them worked. I have been perplexed by this for 6 months or better after switching to the Firefox browser. Prior to your responses I tried most if not all of your responses. The strange thing is that everything works fine if I switch over to the IE browser (which I can't stand).
