I like Firefox much better than chrome - but when I have the not responding problem, after about 15 minutes I switch to Chrome and do not have this problem - Hopefully someone can help with this. Thanks

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.

At to outside programs and Firefox, it is best to tell cleaners and scanners to leave the browsers allow. Third party cleaners have made problems for some browsers.

Firefox can be set to do that on its own.

Hi - Did the above from the Tools/Option - it is working better, Not as bad - I do have an old system so it does run slow. A few people have said it might be noscript.

An old system means an older CPU. Make sure all of your programs are up-to-date. If your system is too old, talk to a tech about a new CPU, or find out the cost of a new / used system.

Disable it, then restart Firefox. How is it?

Hi - just want to say thanks for your help - running a lot better now - I was always running the disk cleanup - but I see now that FF has it's own cleanup.
