Persistant Adobe crashing

I'm a Mac user (recently - last four months - purchased a Macbook Pro) who has been encountering problems with Adobe since I first got the machine. Adobe will routinely crash while surfing the web or opening videos on Youtube. Usually, I am just able to refresh the page and continue without any problem. However, this won't stop Adobe from crashing soon thereafter, sometimes for no reason, but often when I open a new page or video.

This was annoying enough, but recently I've been getting videos which persistently trigger Adobe to crash. A random Youtube URL, for example, will cause Adobe to crash like it usually does, but, upon reloading the video, it'll trigger the crash again (and again, and again, and so on). Even if I clear all history and forcequit Firefox, opening another window and trying the same URL will trigger a crash again.

But this isn't the case with, say, Safari, which won't crash when opening the same video. I rarely use Safari, but, in those times I've tried, I only got this problem with Mozilla.

I have the most recently updated version of Adobe, and I've spoken to Mac customer support (which was no help at all - they advised me to contact Firefox). Is there anything I can do? Thanks!

You can use a newer video player for youtube that doesn't use flash player and shouldn't have these crashes. Visit youtube.com/html5 and click "request the html5 player"
