Some web sites do not allow copy/paste. RightToClick {web link} Stops javascript annoyances such as forbidden right click, forbidden text selection or cascading dialog boxes.

I went to the web page. I was able to copy, and paste, in the search box. Please describe your problem more fully.

thank you for your testing.

ctrl+v function used to be working without pressing "web" button. (refer added file please) i could paste directly on the page except when i copied more than 2 links. but now i can't paste directly.

i know that this problem is not for all of users. i was given some information such as create new profile, start with safemode etc from other users who can paste directly.

also i have reported this problem to imgur support team already. but they could not confirm. because this phenomenon didn't appear on imgur side.

anyway, i am not in hurry. could you notice me when you remember some topics info etc please.

thank you FredMcD.

hello FredMcD again.

thank you for your reply. i removed the solved flag.

the "web button " is user interface that imgur provided. i added image file with last post.please refer(you can see at the link below) https://support.cdn.mozilla.net/media/uploads/images/2015-03-14-17-37-00-4c5776.png

this interface is able to use when the user who has acount logged in. but it does not matter logged in or not. also it does not matter register as the member or not either.

maycause i stop updating for JAVA(oracle application) or i stop ms updating with my personal reason.

Hi, try to remove the globalUpdate Update plug-in and check it again, it seems it is malware.

Please try all of these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Did you confirm that there is data on the clipboard, by right-clicking on an input field.

Does Shift+Insert work?

  • Copy: Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Insert (Mac: Command + C)
  • Paste: Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert (Mac: Command + V)
  • Cut: Ctrl+X or Shift+Delete (Mac: Command + X)

OK, I tested it in Firefox and Ctrl+V doesn't work. Drag and drop does work and browsing locally should also work.

You can check this pref on the about:config page:

  • dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled = true

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

hello cor-el

thank you for your kindness.

i did "dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled = true " but it turns "off" automatically after restart firefox. and still ctrl+v is dead.

So this pref changes to false without you doing this?

You can check if you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time Firefox starts. The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.

You can check its content with a plain text editor (right-click: "Open with"; do not double-click). The user.js file is read each time Firefox is started and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can delete the user.js file if you didn't create this file yourself.
