Stop prompting me to change google to my default search. It already is!
First of all, I don't want an account at Mozilla just to ask this question. I also don't want to be asked every blessed day if I want Google as my default search engine. IT ALREADY IS!
I see this is a "promo pushdown" so I guess you're getting some money for it. That's great. But when I say "No thanks" or even when I respond "sure" -- I expect that to be the last of it.
STOP PROMPTING ME! GOOGLE IS ALREADY MY DEFAULT SEARCH ENGINE. STOP IT ALREADY!

You can blame Google for doing this. Firefox no longer has a search relationship with Google so they need to appeal to you directly.

Does anything there help?
Also, check the programs that are on your computer
Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
Go thru the list. If you find something that you don't know what it is, use a web search.

Yes! It's funny, I checked with Google first and the only help I got was from someone who essentially said "Blame Firefox". But he, too suggested allowing cookies.
So THANK you for the info on the CSS file. I like to clear cookies and, as much as I use Google, I don't trust them so much...
I've set up my userContent.css file and have my fingers crossed.

Oh, it didn't work after all. Today it's showing up again. So I'm trying Remove it Permanently to see if that handles it. I've told it to remove the ad--it did but left the space behind. Fortunately, it still had an X to the right, but still... not really a complete solution.
