I can't install one of my Microsoft email accounts (the other two, yes). I solve this problem in the desktop app with an Owl subscription. How can I make it work also in the mobile app? It's my main account! Thank you.

10-24-25 In my setup for 'BDR Office' Thunderbird has stopped displaying all my folders. How do I restore proper display. Noted fact, I have named three of my folders with preceding characters '0 -' on the given file name' so to display together in my list. Odd - these three folders are the only ones that display. See Attached. In my TB setup I have 3 emails set up and it is only the 'BDR Office' (for my email [edited from public] @reagancpa.com) that has ceased to display all my folders. Normally it appears similar to the [edited from public] @gmail.com as seen in the attached. On 10-13-25 I followed several Methods provided by Support.mozilla.org with no success. HELP! if possible phone contact would be best for me. [edited phone# from public community support forum] - Billy

Thunderbird ver 140.0 (64-bit) on Windows 11.

Brand new, fresh installation of Thunderbird. - Added a GMail account. That worked. - I tried to add an account with my personal domain. I enter my name, the email account, and Thunderbird gets stuck in an unending loop looking up the configuration. - Other email clients have successfully looked up the config and did the setup without a problem. - The email account is handled via IONOS.com servers. - If you gave me a manual setup option I could handle it but there is none; TB goes straight into trying to handle it itself.

Any ideas?

It is working on the WEB, but I cannot find the area to manually configue the email settings.

Is there anyway I can have someone log onto my computer to set it up.

Problem: newly added account disappears when TB is closed. Thunderbird on this PC (Dell Latitude 6540) has held a Verizon account for years. The "new" account is a different, equally old Verizon account kept on TB in an identical PC I no longer use. When added to TB on the present PC it tests and works fine until TB is closed. Repeated numerous times. Having read thread # 1286437 I did what follows , to no avail: 1. tried TB in troubleshoot mode; 2. tried in Windows safe mode; 3. cleared startup cache; 4. drastically pruned old emails; 5. looked up profile folder under troubleshooting info. Folder qxxxxxxd ( size 1.18 GB before adding new account) holds one folder tree, one directory tree, but NO prefs.js file. Instead, twenty-two prefs-xx.js files from 1 to 22; removed all to a thumb drive except prefs-1.js which I dared not rename as prefs.js; 6. found two profile folders, both labeled default. One is the above holding 1.18 GB, the other holds 685 MB (probably harmless and related to an old university account no longer extant). I copied both profile folders to a thumb drive. Note: profile folder qxxxxxxd is clearly engaged in what I am attempting. When TB is open with the added new account working -- which is the case as I am writing --, profile folder size increases from 1.18 to 1.20 GB and the number of folders increases by one (under "Mail" the list of pop.verizon-xx.net sub-folders increases from 17 to 18). Please advise on what to do next; I am 86 and no software geek, but can follow instructions... Thanks --Paul

Hi there......I have been attempting to get my TB to work on my thru my hosting web provider but have not been successful. I have used all of the incoming server and outgoing server suggestions and have not been able to receive emails with TB on my desktop. I can send and receive on my iphone but not thru TB. I have also tried manual config but no cigar. I was hoping to call TB support but I see that is not possible, only thru community support. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I guess I will look to see if I get any responses thru my gmail acct which is pfbobbo.

Thanks so much in helping with this frustrating situation.

I want to use Thunderbird as my email client on a new laptop. I only want to include my outlook.com account. The automatic setup procedure fails and I don't have a clue how to set up the account manually. The failure message doesn't specify what parameter is causing the failure. Since I can't use my outlook.com account yet, I can be reached on my desktop system at [edited] @cox.net . I hope you can correct this issue for me.

Is anyone else having this bug? I'm reading through my mails and I delete one or multiple mails and then the entire box disappears and says "No Message Found." Then, I have to click on the account and then back to Inbox to see the mails again? This has been happening on the last two builds on TB??

And then I get the disk space error...even though there is almost 3T of space??

Apparently, I was over-zealous in tidying up some things at my Fastmail account (e-mail service provider), and I removed authorization for Thunderbird to access it.

When I open Thunderbird, it asks for re-authorization. See my first screenshot. This page is blank, so I there's nothing I can do with it. It is blank even after I start my Macintosh in safe mode and then start Thunderbird in troubleshooting mode.

So I made a back-up copy of my profile, deleted my Fastmail account in Thunderbird, and tried to set up my account again. See my second screenshot. Thunderbird hangs while looking up the configuration, and there is no way apparent way to set up the account manually.

So I am stuck. How can I either re-authorize Thunderbird (obviously, the preferred outcome) or re-create my account in Thunderbird?

TB New V140 has an issue: when adding a new email account the wizard stays in a loop, no information why and no option any more to add the account data manually. No idea why it's necessary to keep users out from a manual setup and let them use a not working apple style wizard....
