running windows 11 with latest firefox. how do I turn off search suggestions, totally and permanently? I have looked at Settings and can find no such option. it's terribly distracting.

recently bought new desktop and upgraded win10 to win11 in the process (preloaded). I found 'places:sqlite' in win10 firefox and copied it to usb drive. How do I copy it to win11 firefox? i.e. where is the folder containing the sqlite file in win11? will copying the file also place the bookmarks in the win10 firefox locations? Will the layout preferences transfer over (hate to be negative, but I hate the win11 firefox interface that was preloaded on the new win11 machine.) thanks for anyhelp.

I got a pop-up that said I needed to upgrade my Firefox so I clicked on (Firefox ESR-64Bit) and lost my one and only profile in Firefox. HELP I need it back it has all my passwords and bookmarks

Numerous tabs appear whenever I open Mozilla. I have used them at some time in the past, but never all on one occasion. SOME WERE LAST USED AT LEAST SEVEN MONTHS AGO.

Related may be that sometimes when I follow a link on one website, the destination appears on my screen as a new opening of Mozilla. The previous site(s) are completely obscured

On my personal computer, I have a Profile for work and I was logged in via a Mozilla account using my work email address

I've recently set up a similar thing on my work computer. Signed in using Mozilla account. I have since noticed that on my personal computer it says "Account disconnected."

I'd like to sign in again and sync them so that I always see the same settings, shortcuts, open tabs etc on both computers. But if I sign in right now, will I lose the customizations I've made on the work computer? Which computer will it consider to be the "source" of the newly synced information?

This experimental "Permission" program and repeated new downloads several times weekly, are driving me crazy. Mozilla started this without notification/explanation.. Had no idea why I received frequent annoying downloads and popups for Permissions. A little bit intrusive don't you think? Stop it. No description applies in this circumstance.

fonts.googleapis.com is locking up websites for 40 to 60 seconds per keystroke. I have researched this problem and tried everything suggested, but nothing works. Much of the solutions include changing the settings used on menus which no longer exist. accounts.google.com is doing the same thing. This is driving me nuts. Help!!! Latest version of Firefox. Recently , after years of trouble free use I can't get into my email without correcting the incorrect password firefox tries to enter into YAHOO email . I tried using google AI to fix problem and all I got was a bunch of convoluted nonsense . This should be very simple . You save a login credential , firefox enters that credential for you next time you login . This sounds simple enough but what I got from AI was all this nonsense about cookies and tracking nonsense . I want things to be simple and direct . I NEVER SELECT REMEMBER HISTORY ...PERIOD . I NEVER SELECT "LEAVE YOU SIGNED IN" . The reasons are simple ...I WANT THINGS TO STAY SIMPLE .

The second I let firefox start leaving me signed in or remembering history , nothing but bullshit will follow . Now I have an issue which may result in me abandoning firefox entirely . Turns out the reason I got away from google is now what firefox is . Firefox used to be a straightforward browser that simply worked . Now its gotten complicated with all sorts of useless trash and here I am with a password manager that will not work for some completely convoluted reason . It enters a incorrect password . Any attempt to look in settings to correct problem is useless . The password I find is not even the same incorrect password it tries to enter !!!!!!!! This firefox is rapidly turning into shit !
