when i go to my website on firefox it says "Secure Connection Failed" but it loads fine on safari. i've never seen it do this before. Is this a firefox issue?

This is not a huge issue but it is irksome. Why do the all the bookmarks in the toolbar justify left? Also, there are no UI options in the settings to change the justification. Most browsers center all the bookmarks in the toolbars. Surely this wouldn't be too hard to change, would it?

I moved and when I restarted my computer in the location, I had lost all my bookmarks. The note said foxfire is in use by another application. What other application and why did it destroy my bookmarks?

Why can i not just go to a specific place block a bloody website that has stolen money off me through dishonesty? I just want to block them without the drama. Why do all developers make things impossible to navigate with 1 million steps to achieve anything I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS CRAP!

TL;DR: I am dumb, but not an idiosyncratic web browser user, and it was too easy for me to accidentally permanently delete all of my browser data. Deleted profiles should be moved into system trash when deleted, not rm'd entirely.

I have never used "profiles" and somehow, after updating firefox, seemed to have created one. I have no interest in using the feature, and therefore went to delete the new profile and disable the feature. Somehow, I instead deleted the profile I had implicitly been using all along. I clicked too hastily through the warning about deleting files, because it simply did not occur to me that deleting something related to this net-new feature should clear all of my *old* data. My goal was to restore the experience I've had in firefox for years (without profiles), but because I failed to adapt to the new feature, I lost everything instead.

I apologize for maybe shouting into the void about this, but I am posting on the off chance that this will reach someone who's involved in the implementation of these features and can save some other dumb person like me from making the same dumb mistake. It's quite painful to suddenly lose years of accumulated bookmarks, extensions, history, etc. The easiest and least intrusive solution would be to always move profiles into system trash when they are deleted, and never permanently delete them.

Hi, I was a heavy user of the multi-account containers extension. Since FF now has that functionality built in I disabled the extension recently (more than a week ago). My company keeps FF up to date - currently on 153.0.3 aarch64

All tests have been performed with other extensions (ublock origin and auto-reader view) disabled.

Since the last update (last wednesday I think, 5th. Aug.) I've been unable to access the AWS or Azure portals from a container tab, though it works correctly from the 'bare' browser.

I've cleared cookies and site data for the whole browser (made no difference)

I've cleared cookies and site data for the container tab - this now allows me to sign into Azure (which is a prerequisite to signing into AWS), but AWS is still blocked with a microsoft message "We cannot sign you in, try a different user name"

If I use the bare browser, no container, I can sign into the AWS SSO portal correctly.

What can I check to help diagnose this? MacOS Tahoe 26.6.1 Firefox 153.0.3

I am unable to press new tab or even use Command T to open a new Tab. The New Tab button seems greyed out as if I've hit the limit for tabs, but I don't have too many tabs open. Not even the keyboard shortcut is working which quite surprising. I am able to create new tabs if I open a new window, so I am not completely unable to create new tabs, but i was just curious as to why this might be happening to my current window.

When I open a session on MacOs I have full access to Firefox and Passwrods. That is not a protection good enough for me How can I stop this ? Should I disconnect from Firefox before closing the Mac Session ?

Not sure if this question should be directed to the Mozilla dev team or 1Password dev team. Who is in charge of implementing the integration of the 1Password extension? It currently doesn't provide same functionality as when implemented in most other common browsers (Chrome, Safari).

I currently have three distinct browser profiles set up on my work computer (one main personal profile, one work profile and one guest profile), but only my main personal profile is syncing data (bookmarks, extensions, history, etc.) across to my other computer. When I log into my other computer, only my main profile appears and syncs. The other two profiles remain isolated to my work computer and aren't accessible or synced on the second machine. I want all three profiles to be available and fully synced across both of my computers so that their bookmarks and settings are mirrored everywhere.

Is it possible to have multiple profiles sync across devices simultaneously under the same account? If so, how can I properly link or set up the remaining two profiles so they sync across both computers without messing up my main profile?

Our power went out this am and turned off my computer. I am unable to recover my Firefox bookmarks. I've done the Manage bookmarks, but when I get to Library there is no Import/Backup to click on.

First off I have always used Firefox as my default browser... better than all the rest. For the last week I've been working on a project on ChatGPT and have multiple times dragged and dropped a screenshot directly into the chat until today... now it gives me a red warning label at the top that says that this browser does not support import of jpeg, png, heic... but I've been doing it all week. Has there a change? How do I keep doing this? And now it won't even allow me to add an image here.
