Links from Google searches send me to wrong/false websites...ran a malware check but is still happening

It only recently started happening, but when I run a search on Google the links provided send me to ad sites and non-recognized search engines.

Searches ran through the Mozilla search bar at top right of browser are unaffected, it's only when running a search through Google.com. Going directly to a site's URL is also not affected.

I ran a malware check, and deleted affected files, but it is still occurring. Any ideas?
