Hello, My Provider is vodafone. Since you updated Thunderbird, i can't send emails. This Problem exist since about 2 Month. Vodafone cant help me, because they said, it is your Problem. I need very quick help. I need emails for my business. Thanks

I've been seeing a doubling of *some* incoming messages, where a duplicate message comes very soon after the first one. For example, two incoming messages were received at:

Sun, 07 Jun 2026 14:03:10 +0000

Sun, 07 Jun 2026 14:04:31 +0000

So the second message came in about 1 minute and 21 seconds after the first, and not because of anything I did (as far as I know). But then that was it, no third message came in.

This isn't really a bug, as nothing is harmed, just a repeated message. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I've been using Thunderbird on Windows 10 since last year sometime. Currently I'm on version 151.0.1.

I've 4 x mailboxes here and since yesterday, 3 of them show me an unusual message when checking for emails. I tried attaching a screenshot but although the screenshot uploaded, I couldn't find a way to insert it here. But the message says Unable to write the email to the mailbox and asks me to check if I've write privileges (which I have) and to cheek the available disk space.(currently 101GB free).

The message is happening 2 or 3 times each day and lasts for about half an hour, then everything works fine again. Has anyone else seen this??

Have been successfully running Thunderbird for many years on Windows 10 on 2 different private computers. Within the last week both computers unable to send and receive messagees. BT E mail account is absolutely fine as can access it via webmail and via Android e mail app on my phone. Login details have not been changed. Have tried updating to 150.1 no joy. When trying to send a message we receive Send Message Error immediately but with no explanation as per attached image.

I received a spam message this morning that had a "Disposition-Notification-To" (aka Read Receipt) line that had MY email address on it. I honestly don't know why a spammer would do this - but that's not the issue. I have Read Receipts disabled, but Thunderbird generated an email (to me) and sent it to my mail host. This seems like a bug. Even if the Read Receipt has my email address on it (making it mostly harmless), Thunderbird shouldn't have generated the message. Or am I missing something? Thanks.

I've been using Thunderbird for years but suddenly as of yesterday it's stopped receiving messages. First it told me my password was incorrect. Ever since then when I try to click "Get Messages," it simply has no response at all. Nothing happens. I went into my Thunderbird password settings, and upon seeing that the incoming-message password had for some reason reverted to an old, obsolete password, I corrected it and saved the correct one. I've checked several times and the passwords are correctly saved now. But this did not fix the problem. When I click "Get Messages," nothing happens. My Thunderbird is connected to my Earthlink account, which is working fine. When I go into Earthlink, I am able to send and receive messages as normal. So the problem is not with Earthlink but with Thunderbird.

I am running Thunderbird 140.11.1esr on Windows 11. I have many email accounts mainly with btinternet which I access with Thunderbird. Most of them work fine but when I tried add another email account with a very large inbox all of the folders download fine but the inbox itself doesn't show any messages but the number alongside the folder says 220479 (which I think is unread messages). I have tried this on 2 different laptops with the same result. I have tried to Repair the folder. The folder is selected for offline use and I have tried to press the Download now button.

Any ideas?

TB Authentication Failed with new outlook.com accounts Definetely not a problem of username, password, etc: everything double checked. No problems with old outlook.com accounts or connecting BlueMail for Windows to the new created accounts, but still I would like to use Thunderbird...

After thoroughly searching this database, I could not locate an answer to the issue I am facing, although there seem to have been several similar cases.

My former university has recently decided to delete alumni email accounts, so I am using Thunderbird for email transferring from university to GMail (added both accounts to Thunderbird and then began copying emails and folders). Transfer is slow, depending on the server capabilities etc., but I am going folder by folder and so far it has been fine. I began the transfers a week ago.

Last night I noticed my Thunderbird inbox for my school is not showing anymore. The profile folder is only showing one file (.msf) for Inbox, instead of what should be, in my understanding, two files.

Thunderbird is still communicating well with the university email server because I made a folder rearrangement on the university webmail service (outlook.com) and it showed on Thunderbird. In addition, all my Inbox emails appear fine on the university webmail service (outlook.com).

Any ideas? This is obviously important and urgent.

Had to change my ISP password which I did. I then removed all passwords from Thunderbird. I then downloaded the newest version (listed below) After the download I clicked on get messages - no response - did not ask for a password. My ISP pop address is properly listed. I went further and clicked on write - a box opened up asking for a password. Of course I entered my new ISP password and it showed up under saved passwords (smtp etc). I can write and send messages but not receive. I would appreciate a fix to be able to download messages - I miss my Thunderbird. Thank you - I must admit I'm not very teck savvy

cannot receive or send email says to login to server mail.twc.com failed Also says unable to authenticate to outgoing server SMPT check PW did and still not working. Spectrum say server is failing to communicate with their server.

I can get a couple hundred e-mails but none since 5-31-2026. I can see later e-mails in yahoo but I use thunderbird because yahoo is too cumbersome to use for just E-mails. I sometimes get a message that my account is being processed. I have had this problem before but can't remember how I got out of it. I am computer literate but I am also 91 years old. Think Biden! I need emails! I am frozen in the middle Roku install because I never got their code and they are now frozen.

I have recently installed Thunderbird. I have imported the .pst from outlook. I cannot see any email sent recently. Email display Window only shows mail messages from ten years ago. When I select get messages it states no new messages to download What do I need to do to fix this ?

I get the message "Login to server mail.sasktel.net with username powalinsky failed" even though none of the sign-in credentials have changed and I can access the same account in a browser and on my iphone. This problem began last Friday. It has occurred occasionally and briefly in the past, seemingly resolving itself. I have tried the troubleshooting suggestions that I found online, but to no avail.

I am setting up a new installation of KDE6 on PClinuxOS and have hit a problem with copying over my Thunderbird profile from my old KDE5 installation.

I keep the profiles for Firefox and Thunderbird on a separate data partition and access them from my home folder with symbolic links.

I then just copy the whole thing over to another computer's data file linked in the same way. This has always worked in the past and Firefox copied over OK, but there's a small problem with Thunderbird, everything is there but the inbox. I get the message:-

  " Unable to open the summary file for inbox on MUN. Perhaps there was an error on disk, or the full path is too long."

(MUN is the name of the mail server)

I've recopied several times but the problem persists. I'm not sure what file it's referring to, there is nothing by that name that I can find.

The outbox is OK I've just sent myself a message.

 So i downloaded TB it worked just fine until now. I can't send email anymore but i can receive them. When i try to send one, it says that there's an error with the server, it cab't connect anymore to the SMTP server. I tried to change the SMTP mail, to delete my account and reconnect. But nothing helps. What can I do? It's the only way for me to connect to my iCloud mail for now.
