I've started using the new PWA feature in Firefox. Some of the websites I've installed show a generic globe from 4 black lines icon. I am assuming because the favicon is not available or something.

I've changed the shortcut icon by going into the Windows properties dialog. It does change the icon on the taskbar while the PWA is closed, but as soon as I open it, it reverts the globe icon.

Is there a way I can manually change the icon the PWA is using?

I often use the key combination Ctrl+Alt+X in Google Docs when on different devices but it doesn't function properly when instead it brings up the AI sidebar gadget. Removing the sidebar button doesn't really help and it's annoying. So how exactly do I turn off the key combination for the sidebar?

My apologies - I don't know a lot of the correct terminology for much of these things! Parts of the web address in the address bar, such as www and https disappear, but re-appear if I want to change the address by typing an addition or correction in the current address. Is there a way to make sure that the entire address shows all the time? Thanks!

The very first time I opened Firefox and tried to do a search I got a hijacker:

Why?

I did a scan with both Malwarebytes and with TotalAV, no detections.

I stopped using Chrome and Brave because I had another hijacker (Yohoo!). I used Malwarebytes to quarantine and delete that because my paid subscription to TotalAV didn't find it. Now I'm stuck with an all new different hijacker upon installation of Firefox.

They come in as Unconfirmed ######.crdownload I've tried the link on the Mozilla site and the link in the Microsoft store. I'm using Chrome as a browser & want to change.

there is a payment methods label in settings but thats is. its just a label under it immediately comes save addresses from other articles i can see that there should be a saved cards button but i have nothing why?

I’m suddenly unable to open Mozilla Firefox at all on my Windows 11 Pro (version 25H2) Surface Laptop. The browser never launches - every attempt immediately crashes and opens the Firefox Crash Reporter.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox (and removing the old application files, though the original Firefox program folder has 13 .tmp files inside a “tobedeleted” folder that I can’t delete), but the issue persists. When I try to install or uninstall Firefox, I get the same behavior: Firefox never opens, and I end up with multiple instances of the Crash Reporter popping up instantly.

Tried renaming firefox.exe as well to no avail. Chrome and Edge are working fine.

I just bought a new PC, part by part, and used my storage devices from my old PC. I formatted the windows drive and am on a fresh installation of windows 11. I tried to log in to my mozilla account, but couldn't remember my password so I used the "Forgot password" function. When I logged in, no bookmarks or history was saved. Is it possible to restore my synced data?

I synced my data today in mozilla and after that i reinstalled windows on my PC. now i installed fresh mozilla and logged in into my account but my data is not synced... i lost a lot of open tabs,bookmarks etc... what can i do? is synced version still somewhere or what? i did everything as i supposed to do but i cant see my previous open tabs and bookmarks..

I installed Firefox yesterday, and everything was fine for a day. Today, when I play a YouTube video, the entire page freezes - I can't pause it, select text, or do anything. The page starts responding after about 10 seconds from last interaction.

Compared to Chrome, I can play 20 YouTube videos at once and everything works fine.

The problem only occurs on YouTube. Sites like CDA and Jellyfin work fine.

Every time i would open the app, it would crash immediately. I uninstalled and reinstalled, had the same issue. Recently updated to Win11. Reported each time but can't get into the app so don't know what the error is.
