Loving the picture-in-picture feature. I googled to see if there was a keyboard shortcut to pop out the video and saw that ctrl+shift+] or cmd+shift+] should do the trick, but on my mac (firefox 95.0.2) the ctrl version seems to do nothing while the cmd version goes to next tab, which is redundant with ctrl+tab. I'm wondering if the cmd+shift+] shortcut is being overriden accidentally, or if there's a different keyboard shortcut for this on mac? cheers

While i was browsing through websites using Firefox, i opened a new tab and got the notification saying something like While you were browsing, Firefox was updated in the background. There there was a button at the bottom saying Restart Firefox. When i clicked on that button Firefox restarted automatically as expected. My question is that now i want to see the Update History of Firefox. So how can i check/see the Update history of Firefox.

I am using Ubuntu 18.01 and Firefox 95.0.1 (64bit)

Folks frequently bemoan that Firefox doesn't have the same Ctrl+Shift+T keyboard shortcut to Restore Previous Sessions that Chromium has (heck, I'm one of them), but I noticed that Ctrl+Shift+N will restore Previously Closed Windows. From a backend perspective, is there a functional difference between these two options? Does using the Restore Previous Sessions button in the History panel behave differently in regards to, I don't know, cookies or something? I'm a little hazy on what a "session" is and why it's important.

Say you are reading [this comment](https://github.com/philc/vimium/issues/226#issuecomment-847959671) in the thread and you click the first link, titled "philc". That now brings you up to philc's comment, but how do I get back down to my original spot in order to continue reading?

This is only a problem when navigating within a page, as if the link is opened in a new page, closing the new page returns you to your original spot in the original page.

I have turned on Hide pointer while typing in Mouse Properties, see pic. It works in Notepad, but not in Firefox.

Mouse Properties can be accessed from Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse. Here click on Additional mouse settings.

I'm concerned about my browser history, saved passwords, bookmarks, etc. getting in the hands of someone with ill intent. I'm sending my laptop to Asurion to be repaired and want to get as much sensitive information off as possible. can firefox be backed up and then uninstalled, to be reinstalled later with all my settings? Thanks for any advice.

I have two windows of Firefox 94 for Linux next to each other, each with its own user profile. It would be very handy if I could drag and drop tabs and items in the bookmarks toolbar from one profile into the other. Apparently this does not work out for me. Am I missing some tip/trick?

It is possible to transfer tabs by drag and drop when both windows belong to the same user. Handy. Obviously the two windows share the same bookmarks toolbar, so the point of transferring makes no sense for the bookmark toolbar.

If that cross-profile transfer is not possible, it is definitely a feature request. This would help greatly in merging piecemeal the bookmarks of two users. Say, to separate private and work bookmarks from time to time.

Dear Sir or Madam; I downloaded a login CSV file from the Firefox browser. The date columns format in the CSV login file is ‘1.64055E+12’. In EXCEL, 44556.79166 would translate to 2021/12/26 18:59:59. The translation of ‘1.64055E+12’ should not be the same exact date, but should be in the same date range, as the 44556.79166 number. I’m not a mathematician. Would you please show me how to convert the '1.64055E+12' value to an equivalent excel date/time number? I could then format the excel date number cells to an yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss format. These scientific number values are in the Firefox login file CSV downloads so I assume they were intended to be used in EXCEL spread sheet. These values converted to EXCEL date values would help me sort account password date change records by account name and change date. I could review sorted account records (and thus determine the current password for individual old accounts). Your solution would help me immensely and I appreciate your time. ich möchte gern mehrere websites als Startseite haben, wenn ich den Firefox browser öffne. Wie das geht wird auf der Firefox Seite sehr gut erklärt.

Zwar ist es mir gelungen, google als Startseite durch drag & drop auf das Haus Symbol zu ziehen. Jetzt würde ich habe gern weitere Registerkarten als Startseite festlegen.

Wenn ich (wie in der Erklärung) jedoch auf die Menüschaltfläche mit den drei Strichen klicke und danach auf "Startseite" klicke, ist das Fenster "Startseite und neue Fenster" leider inaktiv, so dass ich nicht weiterkomme. Wie kann ich dieses inaktive Fenster aktivieren. Wo liegt der Fehler.

Ich hoffe sehr, dass mir bei diesem Problem jemand helfen kann und würde mich über eine Antwort sehr freuen. Vielen Dank im Voraus!

I have the DuckDuckGo (DDG) shortcut icon on my Windows 10 taskbar. Firefox is my default browser. When I click on the DDG icon, DDG opens in Edge. What do I do to have DDG open in Firefox? I set DDG as the default search engine in Firefox but, for me, it's more straightforward to click on the DDG icon (and I want to get rid of Edge COMPLETELY).

I accidentally unpinned the Google Search shortcut on my Firefox Home. You know, the one that has a little magnifying glass in bottom right of the icon. How can I get it back?

My phone is not connected to the Internet. Is it still possible to text from computer? My phone is an 'old folks' phone, I can receive a text but am unable to reply to it.
