Absolutely furious. My bookmarks have completely disappeared and none of your suggested 'articles' is any help at all. I certainly won't be using Mozilla any more if you can't tell me how to rectify this.

Since Firefox automatically updated (14.0.1) on my MacBook Air (2025 model) several weeks ago, the Bookmarks and History functions haven't worked. Can anyone suggest how I can fix this?

This morning Firefox stopped loading new tabs, which usually means it is due for an update and restart. On my work computer, updates are managed by my organization, so I cannot prompt it to check for updates directly, but rather can just restart the application and it updates once closed. Today when I closed the window then clicked the shortcut to reopen, it notified me the exe file had been removed and prompted me to open the Windows store and reinstall, which I did. I have no indication as to why it uninstalled. All of my bookmarks and other history appear to have been wiped.

I have been trying on the support site to see if this data is recoverable, but nothing has panned out so far.

I have used Firefox as my primary browser for almost twenty years and frequently encourage friends and family to use it if they don't already. I have never experienced anything like this before. I am hopeful somebody will be able to assist me where reading through support center options hasn't yet, but if this is not resolvable, I'm done- the crash helpfully wiped everything clean, after all.

I'm running the current version (144.0, 64-bit) on a Dell Inspiron laptop. Just now, I tried to save a bookmark, but I found that a goodly number (not all) of my bookmark folders had disappeared. When I tried to restore from a Firefox backup, I got an "Unable to process file" message. What's wrong , how do I fix it, and how do I get the missing bookmarks back?

The power went out in my area last night and When I turned my computer on this morning and opened Firefox, all my bookmarks are gone! It says the bookmark file is empty? I had many bookmarks that I use daily. How do I retrieve all my bookmarks I had in my Firefox account? Can someone help? Thank you.

OMG someone please help me...I have used Firefox forever as my work browser. I have saved passwords to client accounts for 3rd party sites, etc. It has EVERYTHING. I updated my Mac with the latest software install today and when I opened Firefox it didn't restore my tabs. I got stuck in a loop where it would not update to the current version of Firefox. I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it and LOST EVERYTHING. I AM FREAKING OUT because all my bookmarks are lost and I don't even know what they are - I have tried to restore bookmarks and it goes back to 2022 and 2023 and when I restore nothing happens. ANYONE SOMEONE please tell me you know how to help me find my stuff otherwise I am cooked.

Firefox on my mac has been acting buggy lately. The last time I quit and reopened it, all of my windows and tabs were gone. there is no restore previous session available and the recently closed tabs and windows options are grayed out. How can I restore?

Firefox updated automatically overnight, all bookmarks vanished. Toolbar bookmarks, gone. History information disappeared two weeks ago. Library box is now gone, too! Windows 11. Firefox version 147.0.3 64-bit

I was trying to Sort by Name, but hit Delete, because the right-click menu presentation shifted. No worries, Ctrl Z should undo on PC. Nope. Now I'm learning the only restore is through JSTOR/backup. I don't want to restore a previous state of operation. I want to un-Delete a folder. Is that a feature somewhere, somehow?

And secondly, can I force confirmation for all future folder deletions?

the latest browser update removed all my toolbar folders, all my Recent activity , my history etc etc, i am so damn pissed off about this as i had my work and personal websites saved in all my folders, ans all my favorite websites saved in my recent activity, so i want all them back ASAP so how do i do that?

this is urgent that someone fixes this asap , so it would be much appreciated for you to fix the issues as it was your update that done it.

w11 on laptop. Cleaned PC using CCleaner. Restarted windows. Launched Firefox and only 1 tab with calendar opened. Went to History but no indication of the previous session available. ?

Bookmarks in Firefox disappeared and cannot import my Bookmarks backup. I have tried to restore an older Bookmark file through /manage bookmarks/ import and backup/restore to no avail. thank you

My wife's Firefox was triggered from an e-mail link and in the process got updated to release 141.0 The result is that the tabs from the previous verion have not loaded. Can I still recover them?

I got a new PC and tried to sign in to my FireFox account to synchronize. But, foolishly, I ended up resetting my password! Don't know why did that, as I was able to locate my password stored elsewhere. I think this action erased all my data in my online profile & I cannot access my account data (bookmarks, user IDs & passwords) online.

Since my data was still in my old PC, I followed the directions for finding my Profile folder. I copied the folder contents to the Profile folder in the new PC. This has not worked.

I realize I wasn't supposed to copy the entire folder contents, which could be the reason why it's not working. Also, the profile folder contained a large amount of data (3 G). So, it's possible that not all files have been transferred correctly.

Please help me!

My PC died and I could not boot from bootable flash drive.

I had been backing up the system with Acronis to a WD Passport.

I purchased a new computer, and when I did a restore, upon starting Firefox, I did not have my old bookmarks, which are many.

Aren't they stored in a backup? If so, how do I get them back. I'm sure that some of the bookmarks came over from Netscape Navigator.

100% of my bookmarks have disappeared. I tried backing up to older version a month ago and still no bookmarks were found. I had over 2000 bookmarks. any suggestions?? Marty

I don't know whether this happened after an update - there was one a few days ago, but I only realised this morning, after switching on the computer, that all my bookmarks are missing. The toolbar is there, empty, only reading "For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar"... I wish! I tried to restore the bookmarks - but it seems there is no backup to restore at all. Then I tried to check my profiles, but there is only the one currently in use. Then I tried to move a tab to the bookmarks toolbar - and nothing happened. Then I began to panic: toolbar apart, we're speaking about years of bookmarks, most of them related to my research for my books... All the advice in the support seems to point towards profiles and backups, but, as I said, it's clearly not my case... Please, please, please: help!

I had a lot of tabs open in Firefox, and they always stayed there even after restarting my PC. But suddenly, all of my tabs disappeared, and I can’t recover them using “Recently Closed Tabs.” Can I get them back?
